Equipment

  • small saucepan
  • wooden spoon

Ingredients

  • 400 g (4 cups) frozen or fresh mixed berries
  • honey (to taste)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Add all of the berries into the saucepan and put on a medium heat. You may want to add a tablespoon or two of water if using fresh berries so it doesn't dry out.
  • When everything starts bubbling, give it a stir and reduce to a low-medium heat. Let it cook down for about 10 minutes. Stirring it and mashing up the fruit every so often.
  • Take it off the heat and add the cinnamon and honey. I usually add about 1-2 tbsp of honey, but it depends how tart the fruit is and how sweet you like it.

Notes

This should keep in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3 days.
